The Nebraska Department of Transportation will host a public open house next week to share information on two proposed projects in Pender.
The open house, which will focus on the Pender East Bridge project and the In Pender project, is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pender Community Center, 614 Main St.
The Pender East Bridge project would result in the replacement of the Highway 94/Main Street bridge over Logan Creek Dredge. The project area would begin east of the Pender flood-wall closure and extend east of the Highway 94 and 17th Road intersection, according to the NDOT.
The In Pender project would improve Highway 9/16 and Highway 94/Main Street. The work on Highway 9/16 would stretch from the south side of Pender to near the north side of town.
