Runners race past rainy days

Rainy cool conditions did not slow down the runners in this year’s Tom Dickey Cross Country Invitational hosted by Boone Central. The medals at this meet are awarded to the top five runners in each grade.

Speaking with several athletes about the conditions, most all of them loved the race conditions. Their only concern was there were a few areas that had some tricky footing on certain parts of the course. One of those areas impaired senior Miles Clausen, as he went down during the race. Clausen finished the race but it was evident that he was hampered by the fall.
